Printing Double Sided Documents

If you are looking for a laser printer that specializes in printing double-sided documents then look for a machine that has a “duplex function.” The duplex function inside these laser printers is what allows them to print your text and graphics on both sides of the page. This type of printer or Xerox machine is often called a duplex because it is symmetrical looking with two trays sticking out of either side of its body.

Duplex laser printers are not cheap. Some of them are as expensive as copy machines. Still there are some more affordable examples on the market if you look for bargains.

One of the advantages of adding a duplexing printer (one that prints on both sides of the paper) to your arsenal of office machines is that it can help cut your costs for paper in half. It can also cut down on the amount of filing that your office has to do and also open up floor space around the printer that may have been previously stacked with single sided printed documents.

There are some drawbacks to buying a laser printer that specializes in printing double side documents. For one thing they are unusually large laser printers and take up a lot of floor space. They are also not the kind of printing machine that you should count on if it is speedy printing you are looking at. Most duplex laser printing machines print less then four pages per minute due to the fact that they contain a complex paper path inside.

This type of printer is also very expensive and normally found in large offices or corporations and also in offices that specialize in creating books or binders out of printed material. This type of printer is also good for organizations that need to save money on paper, as obviously you will be buying half the paper you would need if both sides are printed on during a task.
